The John Muir Trail is a long-distance trail in the Sierra Nevada mountain range of California, running 211 miles (340 km) between Yosemite Valley and the summit of Mount Whitney. Its spectacular scenery and challenging topography make it one of the premiere long distance hikes in the United States.
Though not the my longest hike, I consider it perhaps the most beautiful hike I have completed.
